We have some of those sliding doors on a track in one of our bedrooms. The doors are continually coming off their tracks. Is there some secret to keeping them on the track, or do we need to just plan to replace them? Our house was built in the 1970s.

I've had the same trouble before, and if I'm remembering correctly, I think my dad came over and adjusted or tightened something on the doors themselves. Maybe you can take them off the track and see if there is any such thing on yours.

I ended up replacing them a day or two after posting this. It's good for this forum to have reminders to get me off my rump and start fixing some things around the house. What can we fix next?
