We have decided on a genuine linoleum flooring, rather than a synthetic vinyl which emits gas. Genuine linoleum is made from natural materials. It runs about $3 to $6 per foot. I think it's a terrific choice when remodeling, and you may want to consider it, because it's among the most affordable green products.
Natural linoleum is really good on your feet and back, too, when you have to stand and walk on it for long periods of time. Woods are good, too. Some of those stone and plastic type floors can be hard on the body.
